So today I got home and naturally checked my phone to see a text from my grandma from 2:46 pm. Her text was a reminder to pick up some brochures for university. So anyways, I got home and I told her that I had just received the message on my phone. However, she sent me the text earlier during the day. So I basically tried to explain that our school doesn't always have good reception. Only in some parts of the school do we actually have a few bars on our phone. But all she said was, "Well your phone must have some problems because my phone always has reception wherever I go." And in that second, I exploded and yelled and got pissed off because anything I said didn't matter. She wouldn't listen to what I had to say, so why bother?
So we awkwardly ignored each other for half of the day. I had tutoring for an hour so it was okay. Here's the plot twist: I got into the car after tutoring and said "hello" to be polite and stuff. Then, I see a ukulele case on my seat and I'm about to ask when my grandma said "When I was at Cosmos, I decided to buy you a ukulele since we talked about it before. I hope you remember what you said and how your attitude was today." I was dead speechless! What was I supposed to say? "Thanks for the ukulele and sorry about the thing that happened today, but I'll forgive you since you got me this?" That would be totally rude. All I said was "Thank you for the ukulele. I'll rectify (change) my attitude."
So yeah, me and my grandma have the most interesting relationship, because:
even though we're mad at each other and yelling, we're still family at the end of the day.
