The damage you've done to people - you can't take it back.
You tell someone to back off, to leave you alone because it's all too overwhelming for you. Their presence, their voice, their face - all of it.
And after? Well after, you start to feel the guilt build up inside because you know you should've given them at least a chance to speak. You should hear them out before jumping to conclusions. They can feed you lies, but at least you won't be sitting in that chair wondering what they were gonna say.
We don't want to hear what we think they'll say. But the truth is, we have absolutely no idea what they will say. We make our own assumptions, and cause damage to others. We break them because they broke us, once upon a time. We want them to feel what we feel, in hopes that they'll magically change or understand.
We want them to crash, burn, break just as we did.
