Family life is all about being there for each other, trying to understand one another, and loving each other unconditionally. My uncle (my aunt's husband) is the illustration of selfless, understanding person (which is why he is my favorite uncle and family member).
I finally opened up to my uncle about my dislike for the university program I am currently in (Business) - I have always wanted to pursue different routes in my post-secondary education, but my family did not support my decisions to enter other programs (Criminology, Psychology).
I've only finished 2 months of school so far, and it's already driving me CRAZY!
So I talked to my uncle about it (who also talked to my aunt) and we all decided that I can switch programs after completing the necessary research.
That is what family is - they understand you, they let you grow and most of all, they let you make your own decisions. They do not make decisions for you.
