Drip, drip, drop.
The rain brings me a sense of comfort, like a warm blanket wrapped around my arms. It's funny, since a lot of people prefer the bright sunshine, rather than a grey sky and dark clouds.
On the days that it rains, I feel happy. Why? Because it feels as though I don't need to expend that extra energy convincing myself that it's going to be a great day, that I need to be "optimistic." It's hard being optimistic, when you know the world will turn around and show you there's more grey clouds than sunshine.
I also write a lot on rainy days - it gives me the ability to reflect, to be in that calm state of mind. As a writer, rainy days are my favorite. It means I can be calm and write on the train, in the car (when I'm not driving, of course), in the library, at home.
