You all know that I suck at making new friends. I very much dislike walking up to a person - boy or girl - and introducing myself. It's the hardest thing to do, a life challenge if you will. And unfortunately, this is one of my weaknesses in life. Networking is definitely not my forte!
But for the past month, I've grown my social circle and have met new people. These people in university are so different from the people I grew up with in high school. In university, I believe that most people have grown into different people, they know that fighting over petty things is a total time waster.
I don't know how to describe it - it's just that these new friends are more fun, more helpful and more supportive. I know that any one of them could betray me in a split second, especially since I just met them this month (still getting to know them), but so far, I feel that I can trust these people.
I'm having such a great experience in university - I think this is why most people enjoy their post-secondary schooling more than high school!
